Sunday Afternoon Sessions at TDA
The Dance Academy is excited to announce its new Workshop program called “Sunday Sessions.” This new program is a series of learning workshops with some of the region’s top Master Dance Teachers that will assist our dancers to take the next step in perfecting their craft. The workshops will be done in a supportive, positive and fun environment for our dancers, and they will walk away inspired and ready to take on new challenges. This program will give both TDA students and guests the opportunity to experience Master Teachers from New York City and the Metro area right here at the TDA studio! This is a great opportunity for the TDA dancers to learn from the leaders in the industry that have mastered the art of dance. Our goal is to run a new workshop every other month.

A look back at our Summer Workshop Series:
Broadway Comes to Bucks County- Eric Campros
This past July and August master teacher Eric Campros came back to TDA to inspire and share his passion for dance with us. In addition to being on staff at Broadway Dance Center, Eric also choreographs and casts shows and industrials for Carnival Entertainment.
This summer Eric returned to The Dance Academy for two incredible evenings of jazz and lyrical workshops. Eric’s classes, which offered choreography that were geared toward the television and film industry, were a great success. We’re looking forward to bringing him back to TDA soon!
Precision Dance Workshop – Taylor Shimko
TDA alumni Taylor Shimko returned home to The Dance Academy again this summer to offer a precision dance workshop for our students.
Taylor began dancing at The Dance Academy at the young age of 3. She always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer. Taylor and her family continue to be a very special part of our TDA family. She grew up at the studio and graced our floors and stages until her graduation from high school. During Taylor’s senior year she began the audition process for both colleges and professional work. In May of that year she made it all the way through the two day audition process for the Rockettes. Shortly after her graduation from high school we learned that Taylor had been hired for the southern tour of the Christmas Spectacular Show. Christmas came very early for all of us in late July that year when we were notified that Taylor would not be leaving for tour in October as she was transferred to the cast at Radio City Music Hall. At 18 years of age she joined the New York City cast were she has been performing ever since. In addition to the Christmas Spectacular productions, Taylor also performed in the 2015 Spring Spectacular which featured Derric Hough. She will be returning to NYC this October to begin preparations for the 2017 Christmas Spectacular Season!
